The Missouri in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Location of Camp Lake Springs, MO.?

I do believe this will be the problem. From all indications, he and the rest of the family were from Laclede County area. Some went to Douglas County after the war. Yes, they scattered with the wind. But to try to put this rest, I wrote to the Dept. of Veterans Affairs for a Documented Report if at all possible stating where he might be buried at.
The reason for this, a Hardy Biggs that was married to Elizabeth Smith was apparently killed in service and her father, Hiram Smith filed for her behalf to receive a Pension. This is where it might get Real Touchy as to Who is Who and if False information might
have been used. [This is the way I see it for the moment. This is the reason I want to Track this down. To make sure I have the Right "Hardy" as Brother to My GGF, Andrew Allen.] Thank YOU ALL for your imput. I am now waiting on Documentation from Washington. To see if they can shed some light on this. ha, RB
