A friend of mine in Murray KY, research historian Greg Miller is researching CSA vets from KY and TN who relocated to MO after the WBTS. He discovered the following grave marker in the Old Morley Cemetery, Scott Co. MO:

Birth: May 21, 1840

Illinois, USA
Death: Oct. 29, 1874
Scott County
Missouri, USA

Son of Elizabeth and William Boutwell Sr. Married to Mary K(C)atherine Winchester.

Missouri, USA

We could not discover any info re a 50th MO Inf. CSA in your MO CSA units book, although I did find info re a 50th MO Inf. USA in Dyer's Compendium. Could you please weigh in on this when able?

I did find listing for Boutwell's older brother Stephen Boutwell being in Co. D, 4th MSG and later Jeffer's 8th MO Cav. CSA though.
