It blew my mind when I first saw this VA military headstone in person. I wondered who approved this. As a veteran and professional research historian, the issuing of an incorrect government military headstone desecrates the record of all of us who have actually served. Let alone putting a Confederate Cross of Honor on the grave of someone with unverified Confederate service.
