This cemetery is the Salt Creek Cemetery. Two of Jackman's Men KIA on 9/12/1864 are buried here. Local lore is they were 17 year old non-combatants (local). Al Carter & Buck Collins......2 1/2 miles east of Cherry Grove School. Boone's Lick Road, Santa Fe trail marker at Salt Creek Church site. No sure if they (MSM) would have taken the time to move them. I'll go back to New Franklin Hist. Soc. on a week-end and try to GPS the Turner/White Farm.
