3rd Lt William W Wilkins Co.D 44th MS

I am looking for some general information related to the death of 3rd Lt. William W. Wilkins Co. D. 44th MS Tom Weldon Rebels from Natchez. I know that he died just prior to 2 April 1862 at Corinth, but I don't know the cause and since he was I believe the father of William W. Wilkins jr, Lt in English Battery also from Natchez, I would kind of like to include the story. I tried to look on the MS SCV website but it appears to by down.
