The MS SCV site is only down temporarily, as we didn't get the bill paid in time! I checked the 44th's history on that site and it doesn't mention Lt. Wilkins. I checked the Civil War Researchers page and didn't find anyone listed as a researcher of this unit. I also checked Dornbusch (updated version) and couldn't find any published sources for the 44th! Maybe someone out there is researching the 44th and will check in with you. I don't find either Sr. or Jr. listed in MS CS Graves Registrations. Neither do I find them in MS CS Pension Applications.
