During 4 years of very intense research on the Mississippi 32nd, 33rd (Hardcastle's) and 45th Infantry Regiments, and the 3rd Mississippi Infantry Battalion that finally resulted in my 45-page abstract [see message posted Monday, 27 March 2006, at 6:17 p.m.], I have compiled a tremendous amount of unpublished biographical and historical information on Col. Aaron B. Hardcastle and Gen. Mark P. Lowrey, and Lowrey's Brigade of Gen. Patrick R. Cleburne's Division. Gen. William J. Hardee's Corps.

I'm in the process of developing a biographical and historical manuscript on Brigadier General Mark Perrin Lowrey and Lowrey's Brigade (separate of a 32nd & 45th Miss. manuscript - ugh!). I found it almost impossible to do one without the other because of all the incredible unpublished information that has become available to me.

I am especially interested in information that pertains to members of the other regiments of Lowrey's Brigade who were at the Battle of Franklin: the 16th, 33rd and 45th Alabama Infantry Regiments; and the 5th and 8th Mississippi Infantry Regiments. Also members of Gen. Cleburne's other two brigades, Gen. Daniel C. Govan's Brigade and Gen. Hiram B. Granbury's Brigade, who were at the Battle of Franklin.

Any leads to published or unpublished documents and/or sources (hopefully "eye witness" accounts), especially those that are associated with the Battle of Franklin, will be greatly appreciated.
