Lee: Pardon my lack of memory, but have we corresponded before? If not, please tell me about your interest in the 43rd MS and about any manuscript or oral history info you may have on this regiment! No, I haven't run run across any info on the 43rd at Acworth or Decatur in the newspapers. I am tremendously interested in any info on this regiment from 9/1/64 onward, as virtually no official records (excluding war's end paroles) for this time period have survived and most of the diarists and letter-writers in the regiment were dead by this time.
