David, thanks for the effort, although I would never have asked you to spend all night, but, I understand since I have also gotten involved in searches that grab ahold of you and just won't let go until you either find it or give up after having tried all known sources. It does look like Mitchell found the gravesite in the Jeff Davis County Cemetery Book (see just below your post). What we (all of you) have accomplished on this original Samuel Jackson Harper search is a wonderful example of what can happen when several researchers, each of whom has expertise and a library that focus on a single geographic area, line a county or two, can accomplish by working together.
