I just wanted everybody to know that the website for our beloved 7th Mississippi is growing and we invite everyone to stop and check out the latest additions.

As of today, July 4, 2009, we have added the following...

Diary of Lt. John Daniel Cooper. It covers the Atlanta campaign from May through July of 1864 and includes a great newpaper obit of Lt. Cooper that includes the story of his being KIA at Atlanta.

Letters of Pvt. George Sylvester Lea. Letters to and from home. George Lea was a member of Company C. Amite Rifles.

1906 Los Angeles Herald Newspaper article on Pvt. James F. Rush of Company A. If you want to read about galvanizing to the union, fighting Indians, punching cattle and driving a stagecoach check out this article.
