Why would Van Dorn cross the Yalobusha River at Graysport then cross back through the river bottoms to go to Houston in rainey weather? He could have stayed on high ground by going through Pitsboro, Cherry Hill, and on to Redland. No one in Houston that I have talked to thank he came through there. Tom I thank I have found the Old Ripley road and how it came in to Holly Springs. (Jim Thomas Holly Springs) Will the Nov. issue of Blue and Gray have your article?
