Would appreciate a confirmation of the pension record of Elisha Miles Bruton who filed an application in Tishomingo County, MS. He served in the AL Cavalry. The AL Archives card says CM (a mistake, should be EM) Bruton served in Moreland's Regiment, Co "C" (enlistment 1864 in Burnsville, MS), but a list of MS Confederate burials in Tishomingo County says he served in 7th AL Cavalry, (enlistment 1862). These are definitely the same person. I know E.M. Bruton received a pension in Tishomingo County, MS. He lived on the Tishomingo Co, MS / Franklin & Marion Co, AL state line.

I have tried to figure out the 1st AL Cavalry (4th Roddy's) -- Moreland's Regiment -- 7th AL Cavalry trail, but get very confused. Can anyone explain? I thought the 7th AL Cavalry was from south AL. All of those I know to have been in Moreland's and from North AL & MS, are shown as 7th Ala Cavalry on the Tishomingo Co Confederate burials website.
