Fairly for 3 years, joined from desertion December 9, 1863, pay and allowance to be stopped for 12 months by sentence of General Court Martial, in arrest at the end of the year, wounded at Resaca, Georgia May 14, 1864, sent to hospital, recorded absent August 31, 1864, no further records as this was the last muster roll in the records

Ebenezer P. Stewart, Private, Capt. W. J. Rankin's Company (Marion Men) , 7th Regiment Mississippi Volunteers*, enlisted September 27, 1861 at Shieldsboro by Gen. C.G. Dahlgren for 12 months, recorded absent without leave on October 31, 1861 having not returned from 7 day furlough granted September 19, sent to General Hospital May 28, 1862, discharged at Harrison's Landing by furnishing a substitute August 23, 1862, description: 22 year old Farmer, born in Perry County, Mississippi, 6' 2", fair complexion, blue eyes, light hair

* This company subsequently became Company F, 7th Regiment Mississippi Infantry.
