No sooner had I posted when I ran across something that did not fit the others thus far. Dennis Bonner also spelled Bohner was with Company I of the 31st Virginia Infantry. Unlike the others thus far he enlisted in 1861. He was taken prisoner and sent to Chase in September of 1861. He was exchanged under the Dix-Hill Cartel and again gets captured and sent back to Camp Chase. It would appear he had had enough of Chase. He is in the roster of the 11th OVC under the name of Dennis Bonner in Company F.
