Pat, I agree with you 100%. I did not mean to imply that the 11th OVC was the only unit that had galvanized soldiers. The last time I read a book on the Civil War was in the 1970's. For all I know this material may be in a book somewhere and this information is old news. However, this is the first I've heard of Camp Chase prisoners being in the 11th OVC. They were Camp Chase prisoners in other Union organizations as an example.
