Lt.Simon Mayer, 10th Miss.

Rex, I decided to see if there was more so I Googled: "Simon Mayer 10th Miss. Diary". americanjewisharchives...wow. His letters are at Tulane and the diary is in Combination at Hebrew University. Diary from 1862-March 1864 plus notes at Surrender naming officers of 9th Miss. Consolidated. Thanks for stirring up this goldmine. "high pressure" brigade mentioned several times and battle descriptions of Munforville, Perryville, Tullahoma Campaign, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, and Dalton. Stops May 1864 before Resaca. Great details of movements and locations of headquarters camps as well.
