Sir,

Thank you for the response. Actually, our unit name, "The Madison Guards," is the designation of the company we usually portray. Typically, once we arrive at a living history event, we will then decide upon which unit we will portray. Most of time, especially in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, we go as co. B 2nd NC battalion of INfantry. So, in essence, "The Madison Guards" was the name given to Co B of the 2ND NC inf'y battalion.
We also do an Army of Tennessee impression. When we go to battlefields such as Chickamauga, Murfreesboro, or areas in the Atlanta campaign, we go as a company in the 60th NC. We also do a killer impression of Company D ( The Madison Tigers), 29th NC. As a matter of fact , and since you mentioned it, we will be doing a weekend long living history on Chickamauga Battlefield, June 6-8. We will be set up, as well as camping, in Kelly Field. This is the location where the 60th was engaged for the majority of their time at Chickamauga.
Yes, I would love to have your help. And, if you ever decide you wanna come to an event, please, don't hesitate to ask. We have another disabled individual in the unit.
