I specialize in the regimental histories of CS units from Western North Carolina. The 64th raised 10 companies, six of which were from Madison county,one in Henderson county, one in Polk county, and two in East Tennessee. I am of the assumption that Mr. McGill enlisted in Tennesee. I will do a query tonight, and post the results.
