Pam, I agree with you about the Dukes. Just good entertainment. Never could stand those insufferable inner city comedies where it was okay to refer to whites as "honkey." I'm a believer in tit for tat, and if it ain't ok for one, how is it right for the other?

I liked the hillbillies because of Buddy Ebsen. My son is studying 5-string banjo and does a pretty good version of the B/H themsong, in addition to Foggy Mtn Breakdown. He's a city kid, but somehwere along the way he picked up a liking for Earl Scruggs music. Go figure. :)
