Sherman joke from the Atlanta Campaign: When marching past Stone Mountain, Sherman's troops came under fire from a Confederate on the mountain. The Union troops were ordered to take him out. After being repulsed everal times, more men were sent up yhe mountain. Sherman asked why it was taking so much effort to take one rebel soldier.
