Re: Craig, Chief Boring or anyone

Yes I read where the British did that also in Allan Eckertt's frontier series. A British officer who had watched Indians cut open his cousin (and lover's stomach) then tied her intestines to a tree and marched her around a tree whipping her until she died horrible. Pleasant chaps, huh? He delivered smallpox clothing to these warriors, after that his out post wasn't bothered by Indians anymore. Bye -the-Bye weren't most of the soldiers who moved the Cherokee out on the trail of tears and fought the Creek and Seminole from the south?

It all reminds me of some of my own ancestors, they conquered other people who were less advanced than them in warfare...didn't have as many warriors, didn't have as good a weapons, were a peace like people. After making slaves, killing them and eradicating whole tribes, my people spoke of their cunning, bravery and martial abilities. When some more fair haired humans came along and did it to them, all of a sudden it wasn't fair and nor nearly as much fun.
