I have read it in some records. I need to try to find what ones they were. It was years ago and it was in letters and ledgers from an Indian Agent and the Government. The US Government didn't do it as a genocide effort. Somewhere along the way, someone did on their own. Smallpox was the culprit. The genocide was Sand Creek, etc.You know the rest. The government provisions to the Indians were of poor quality at best. Rancid meat and flour with critters. The Agents complained because these Indians were on the reservations and they couldn't get the supplies from another source. Many of the records from Agents and others during the Indian removal are a great read. Hubbys' GGGGrand Gad Humphrey's was the Agent for the Seminole in St Augustine.
