Oh Stephen, what in the world is wrong with you. I haven't singled out anyone on this site. In fact, one of the reasons, I started filtering all postings is because I felt uncomfortable selectively blocking postings. My comments regarding the costs of these message boards was not directed at YOU. Any comments were meant for all the contributors to this site who were not observing "the rules". I was not soliciting funds, as many have misinterpreted from my remarks. I was stating that these message boards are an expense to me personally, and that I had no justification to "hand hold" or appease people on these message boards due to a profit motive. I put up with a lot of "crap" from customers and fellow workers because my family benefits from the financial rewards of my "real job". I have no such justification to put up with such things here.

For yours and others future reference, do not personalize my postings. When I make an Administrative posting or change how a board functions it is not directed at anyone individually. Stephen, you're not the only person who has seen my postings as directed at you personally. Just this morning, I received an email from a valued contributor who posted a book advertisement on several of our message boards for an author who was not a contributor. I deleted these postings, reviewed the policy on promoting Contributing Authors books only and then, advised him how he could post the message as an informational reply to someone else and not violate the spirit of the agreement with our contributing authors. Needless to say, he got "p****d off" and sent me a posting asking that I not delete his postings of transcribed letters and newspaper stories which were of interest to serious historians", not "A** holes" like me. I added the last part and excuse even the insinuated profanity but this is just an example of the delicate personalities and childish reactions I have to deal with daily.

I am primarily interested in one thing as owner of these sites and that is the long-term health and permanence of what I consider a valuable resource.

I repeat, all are welcome who follow the simple rules of staying on topic and not posting insults, threats or profanity.
