Thanks Craig, but we have a lot to overcome, not just the WBTS but George Wallace standing in the school house door wasn't all that long ago. Its hard to find someone that dosen't have a strong emotional tie to one side or the other. I think we both agree the southerners are more emotional about it than those from north of the Mason-Dixon line.
My personal intrest is not in causes and politics but in the reasons my dirt poor ancestors choose to fight and how it effected theirs and their familits lives, forevermore. I will possibilly never find what my gggf died of and where he is buried. I also find it ironic that they could not collect a pension from the US Goverment, but that same US Goverment will pay for a granite stone and shipping to memorialize them.
