Re: Locating WBTS Soldier's Unit info

I found what I'm pretty sure is your man with wife Susan J., daughter "Nellie" (age 11) in Logan in 1880. It shows both his parents were born in Canada. Is this him, do you think?

If we could locate him on the census in 1860, you'd have a good starting point to finding his unit.

Do you know when he and Susan married? Do you know where they married? Do you know what James N. Young's parents' names were? And did he have siblings? Who were they?

If you'll post that info or send it directly to me (penny 'at' povertyhill.us) I'll see if I can locate him in the 1860 census for you.
