Re: The rifle used in Legends of the Fall

Dennis, George

Go to this site, check out "rifle models". The music is from Quigley Down Under" my favorite "Sharps" movie.

Shooting any Sharps is a great experience. Black powder shooting always is, but with a cartridge model, its plain fun. You know your shooting a real gun when you pull the trigger. Not like the sharp, teeth cracking kick of a high-powered rifle or shotgun, but more of a mule kick or hard push. You have to hang on tight and lean into it just like any large calibur shoulder weapon. The sound and smell is nostalgic. The percussion model leaks a bit out of the bottom of the block, so you have to watch out where you place your hand and fingers.
