Interesting, I just measured the distance from Lee's Statue to the Confederate High Water Mark Memorial and its 8 tenths of a mile. Shorter than I thought. One fact that few people know, the Confederates fielded two charges that day from Seminary Ridge. The second made it about half way across the field, taking casualties, but Lee recalled it before it was fully engaged.
