Re: Charges at Franklin and Gettysburg

We have all seen charges in movies, where the troops stoicly walk into the mouths of the guns, closing up the gaps in the line as they go. Sounds like the descriptions of Pickett's charge. If a director filmed a scene of the troops ducking cannister and grape, the audience would either laugh, groan or walk out. Truth really is stranger than fiction. Stan
