Ms. Halleran, you may shake your head all you wish, but the comparison of Social Security and Medicare to what happened Sunday doesn't wash. The first two covered a particular portion of the population, and was designed to be more or less self supporting, while the health care "reform" bill isn't even about health care, except on the surface. It's about raw federal power, just as began in the aftermath of the WTBS. I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, and aside from studying history, have lived a small part of it, being 72 years old.
