"I'm not agreeing with ANYONES assumptions without recreation testing data"

According to the people in their presentation at the center some recreation of some of the senerios have been done such as the musket ball shattering a cast iron plug that created the 3 inch Hole. But even those recreations are not definitive evidence that this was the way the Hunley was sunk.

I doubt that a definitive answer will ever be recreated to the satisfaction of all parties concerned.

P.S. Most of the spar was recovered at the Hunley wreck site and what was left after 140 years of being expsoed to saltwater did not show evidence of being bent.
