Ed, Of course we know the CMSR's are cards and not folded. However in many cases the Declaration of Recruitment papers otherwise known as DOR's and the Volunteer Oath of Enlistment known as the VOE's are in trifold and sometimes found within the CMSR's jacket. Trifold was the accepted way of folding government papers at that time.
