Re: A Yankee outlaw and a Confederate CEO

I lived in the area where Black Bart held up the stages in Northern California. I have seen evidences in period newspapers of a gentleman wearing black, with an English accent committing highway robbery in the Gold Country as far back as the year 1860. I have a hard time believing he was with Sherman in Georgia in 1864. If he was fighting alongside Sherman, he took a big cut in his average income.
