David, I spent the day looking at the salt list in Berrien County, Georgia and did find Caroline Morris. I made a copy of the entire page which contained her name and made it into a PDF file. I'll be happy to send you the page if you can provide me with an email address. The and salt list was ordered by Governor Brown of Georgia and dated November 27, 1864 about 25 days after Atlanta, Georgia fell. I can't post the PDF file on this site from my understanding.

The capitol Milledgeville was sacked by part of Sherman's Army on November 23, 1864.

I did not see what I had been told I would find and that was the children of the widows. Instead from talking to employees I was told that widows and heads of families where only listed. Before I was told otherwise and looking at common surnames such as Jones I saw several and had wrongly concluded they were members of the same household.

The salt list also listed the families of Confederates who were serving but had not died. The handwriting thank goodness is neat and readable.
