Photos of some of the Palmetto Sharpshooters do exist. I have seen some on the web. I also have heard that the regimental flag still exists and is on the web somewhere. I know this because I have seen it also. It was for sale for an amazingly high price. I believe early in the war they had very unique uniforms but as the war went on they were wearing Richmond depot type jackets and trousers. They had a very dark grey jacket at one point during the war. I think it was the during the battle of the wilderness??? I'm not sure. The jackets were so dark that they were confused with yankees and had to turn them inside out to keep from being shot by their own men.
There is a post war reunion photo of the PSS owned by a Sons of Confederate Veterans post in SC. I'm not sure of the post but I remember hearing about it some years ago.
The photos do exist but they are usually in descendants family photo collections.
