Page down to the "one of a kind items" and look at the Benard jacket. This jacket is based on a late war jacket owned by George Benard of the 12th Va. It was issued from the Richmond Depot. Since the 12 th Va. and the Palmetto Sharpshooters were in the Army of Northern Virginia, they received clothing from the same source (RDepot). It may be possible that the jackets they received were made from the same batch of material as the Benard jacket. It is very likely it was of the same pattern.
