Talking about the 10/19th Col James F. Pressley lies in a family plot at FAirfield-Suisun Cemetery in FAirfield, CA. 4 years ago myself and the UDC/SCV dedicated a new bronze marker by the family marker for him that denotes his military service and rank. Good press coverage and got into him and the whole Pressley family as his brother ,
John G. Pressley, Lt/Col and C.O. of the 25th S.C. is in the cemeterey where I have been a Civil War specialist and tour docent for almost ten years here in Santa Rosa, CA. John was also one of the first two superior court judges here. Died on a camping trip nearby in 1895 of heart attack. Wrote a family history locally and his war journal appears in the Southern Historical Society papers on CD from Guild Press. Col. J.F. Pressley died in San Francisco in 1874 from what may have been TB?
