I have looked at the 1870 Jackson, Union County, NC Census. Although there are mistakes in the record, I feel that this is the William Kelley Cook family. What was the family doing in NC? Could there be a NC Civil War Record? In the 1860 Census, William, his wife Sarah and daughter Mary were in Lancaster County, SC. I will post the 1870 Census, if this might help to solve the missing Civil War Record.
