Re: 7th Infantry Co F SC Volunteers

Found the following information at http://www.ba044ancestry.com/MEDLOCKMATLOCK/VanMedlocksonofStephenMedlock.html:

"JOHN MEDLOCK born 1838 SC. John Medlock served in the Civil War, Co. F, 7th Regiment, SC Inf. John died 1862 of Typhoid Fever.
Note: Roger believes that Annie is the d/o John Medlock who died in 1862 and brother of Benjamin both being sons of Van and Marianna Medlock. Benjamin did take John's daughter to raise. Since he was out working in another area, he left Anna and Ben's own 2 children in the care of Wm. Augustine. John died in Chimbarazo Hosp. Richmond. Benjamin was in the hosp. also but recovered to return to duty. Both served in 7th Regiment Co. F SC Infantry. Annie married an Atkinson."

Hope this helps a little.
