Huh? Davis sided with Bragg and didnt remove him from field command, after the defeat at Chattanooga, Bragg resigns the command on his own and is kicked upstairs. Longstreet's actions around Chattanooga were not a good thing for the CSA, they lead to the CS loss of the Gateway. I give ole Pete credit where credit was due, but Chattanooga and Knoxville are not shineing moments for him.
