In regards to the uniforms of the 16th SC. First of all the time period that you are interested in would determine their uniform, equipage, and armament. In very broad terms the 16th would have started out with their locally made uniforms, then been under the influence of the Quartermaster operations in Charleston, then under the Georgia QMs after they got sent west, basically the Columbus Depot style jackets, etc. You can find some information on the Columbus jackets online, take a look at the Company of Military Historians website, they have an excellent article on Confederate Uniforms.
