Unfortunatley there's some question about this man's last name, possibly due to his extreme youth at the time, or his American Indian ancestry, or some other reason. At any rate, I've been unable to satisfactorily match a service record to him, and we're given to understand that he never applied for a pension from the State of Mississippi.
