I do believe I am on the correct tract. My grandfather enlisted under the name of Pierce, of this I am certain, and after the war settled in MS. He used his mother's maiden name after the war.

I can now start looking in Census records for 1860 to try to find other names.

All of the assistance that I have so far received is greatly appreciated. I will be contacting my local chapter of the SCV soon for more information and possible memberhip.
