Re: Byhalia or Bailey's Station, TN

Sounds like fun to me! Your description reminded me of days gone by and learning how to spot Indian artifacts while stranded along a river bank one day.

Byhalia MS:

Oct. 12, 1863 -- Engagement, Ingraham's Mills, near Byhalia.
Feb. 11, 1864 -- Affair, Raiford's Plantation, near Byhalia.
July 2, 1864 -- Skirmish, Byhalia Road.

It's also quite possible this was a cavalry camp site, which would be a little more difficult to determine.
