Records exist for William C. Taylor, Co. "F", 2ndTennessee Regiment, and Co. "F", 32ndTennessee Regiment. There are no records under the names W. C., William or William C. Taylor in the 6th Tennessee.
Even though company books and regimental records may have been lost during the retreat from Shiloh, records were certainly kept afterwards. Many of these may have been lost or destroyed during subsequent incidents.
