The Tennessee in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Expert of Murfreesboro area cemeteries

Your query peaked my interest as I live in Rutherford Co. I have found some info on the internet, but haven't field verified. The cemetery you are looking for is probably the McCullough-Overall that is listed in the Rutherford Co. Tombstone Photo website. This website states that the McCulloch home was used as a headquarters during the Battle of Stones River. Kim Denny took some photos of the graves in Sept 2003, but the link to these was broken. Per the website, this cemetery is west of I 24 on River Rock Blvd at Racquet Club Dr. I will try to stop by this cemetery this weekend if weather permits.
