Thank you so much for your reply. Of course, not knowing how large the cemetery grew over the years after the battle it might not be as easy to locate. In the letter it says that CPT Thomas and CPT Hammond were buried in the S. E. corner of the graveyard amidst walnut and locust trees. Doubt it looks much the same. Letter also said a small persimmon or mulberry tree was near the heart of the grave. Let me know what you see or find. Many thanks.
