I am a decendant of Pvt Andrew Jackson Camp. Camp was 39 when he entered the army in Co C at Rogersville. He survived the war but died in 1870 his service record shows him to be in very ill health in the closing days of the war. His original papers the ink is smeared and illegable He requested sick leave at Ft Stedman but is unclear whether it was granted If it was then he likely missed Appomattox.
