Thank you for the info, I have the copy of the record from the 44th Consolidated showing the date he resigned, but they claim they need to know where he was between the date of his resignation and the date on the muster roll (??) Are you by any chanced a member of SCV? I just joined UDC/DAR so I am getting a lot of practice at this! I think they are just giving us a hard time for some reason. I have a cousin who is a member of the chapter he is trying to join and head of the Stars & Bars who has offered to help since he was an officer. I didn't realize he was also in the regular 44th and that his name was mispelled, that helps tremendously!
