.....I didn't think it was a requirement that a person had to own slaves to be in the Confederate Army. In fact only a very small percent did own slaves. I think Lt. Trundle was fighting for his country, not slavery. Sure can't blame him for that. I'm not from Sevier County, so I guess I have a different perspective on the war than as do some of the locals. Don't mean to be blunt, just hate to see a brave Confederate Soldier and slavery used in the same paragraph, when it is competely unnecessary. Bob
