Ms. Karr Thank you for the note. I am currently searching for additional information concerning Gen. Robert B. Vance's Nov.1863 raid into Cocke and Green Counties in Eastern Tenn. The O.R. has only a passing mention of Captain Boykin,s Cav. part in the raid and his loss of one dead and several wounded. I was thinking that perhaps some of the newspapers in East Tenn may have an account or a list of the Federal units involved in the raid. There is also the possibility that the unit histories of the Federal units would contain more information concerning this raid. Any information on the raid or leads of where to search are appreciated. James
